Manage Apple Reminders from the command line.
Installation
If the reminders CLI is not installed, install it:
brew install cardmagic/tap/reminders
# or
npm install -g @cardmagic/reminders
Requirements:
- macOS with Apple Reminders
- Node.js 22+
- Full Disk Access for terminal (System Settings > Privacy & Security > Full Disk Access)

Create Reminders
The add command auto-detects the appropriate list based on content:

The done command marks reminders as completed:

Tips
- Use quotes around titles with spaces:
reminders add "Buy groceries" - The
donecommand uses fuzzy matching - partial titles work - Auto-detect works best with clear keywords like "groceries", "work", "family"
- Rebuild index after bulk changes:
