Comprehensive morning briefing that combines your schedule, emails, and tasks into an actionable daily plan.
When to Use
- "Plan my day"
- "Give me my morning briefing"
- "What's my day look like?"
- "Help me organize my day"
- "What should I focus on today?"
Requirements
This skill requires icalBuddy for accurate calendar data with recurring events:
brew install ical-buddy
Instructions
Step 1: Gather Data
Run all three data-gathering commands in parallel:
- Check Calendar (using icalBuddy for recurring events):
TODAY=$(date +%Y-%m-%d)
icalBuddy -n -iep "title,datetime,location" -df "%Y-%m-%d" -tf "%H:%M" eventsFrom:"$TODAY" to:"$TODAY"
- Check Email:
osascript .claude/skills/scan-inbox/scripts/scan_inbox.scpt 24 false
- Check Reminders:
osascript .claude/skills/list-reminders/scripts/list_tasks.scpt
Step 2: Analyze and Synthesize
Cross-reference the data:
- Match calendar events with related tasks
- Identify time blocks for task completion
- Highlight urgent items from email
- Flag scheduling conflicts
Step 3: Generate Briefing
Present in this format:
