Use when: (1) asked to check dialogue progress, assess conversation health, or determine whether discussion is productive, (2) the dialogue shows signs of stagnation such as repeated points or personas restating earlier positions without evolution, (3) before deciding what interaction type the next turn should use, (4) personas seem to be talking past each other without engaging, (5) agreement comes surprisingly quickly on a complex topic, (6) the dialogue has been running for many turns and you're unsure whether to continue, (7) before synthesizing to verify the dialogue has reached a natural endpoint rather than stagnating.
